The FGN Power Company Management Team visited the Ayede Transmission Substation in Oyo State, one of the priority projects under Batch 1 of the PPI Phase 1, to assess the ongoing work being carried out by our technical partners, Siemens Energy.

The scope of work includes the replacement of the burnt 150MVA, 330/132kV transformer and the construction of a new 132kV line bay, this critical intervention that will add 120MW to the transmission wheeling capacity of the station and strengthen grid reliability.
Ayede is one of several strategic projects under the PPI Phase 1 rollout, alongside Offa, Onitsha, New Abeokuta, and Sokoto, all aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s transmission infrastructure and improving power delivery across the country.

This milestone reflects our commitment to accelerating infrastructure upgrades, improving grid stability, and delivering a more reliable and efficient electricity network for Nigerians.
